The Kasuals got together in the spring of 2008. After a couple of line-up changes and extensive rehearsals we are ready to entertain young and old alike with our blend of on-stage humour and classic 60’s songs.
We cover classics from The Fourmost, The Searchers, The Troggs, The Kinks, Cliff Richard and The Shadows, Billy J Kramer & The Dakotas, The Merseybeats, Roy Orbison and The Beatles to name but a few.
We do perform a few 70’s songs and even a couple of 80’s for the younger ones in the audience. Between us we have a vast amount of experience.
Nick – Rhythm guitar & lead vocalist.
Nick spent 6 years touring the world with 60’s legend Freddie Garrity of Freddie & The Dreamers. He has performed in such venues as The Sydney Opera House, The London Palladium and The Liverpool Empire and also performed alongside Freddie on his last public performance on the Sir Clive James Show.
Russell – Lead guitar.
Russell has played and performed with some of the biggest names to come out of the 60’s. Dusty Springfield, Lulu, The Kinks, The Hollies, Shane Fentone and The Fentones, Marty Wilde, Mike Penders Searchers and Jet Harris not forgetting three months deputising with The Fourmost.
Lee – Bass guitar & vocals.
Lee, the youngest member of the band at the tender age of 34, also has a vast experience playing to live audiences around the UK.He played rhythm guitar in the well established Lancashire based 60’s band 'Oh Boy' for a number of years and has also deputised in his father’s band The Fourmost at such venues as Butlins, Warners and a short stint over in Greece.
When not gigging with The Kasuals Lee can be found stood behind his mixing console whilst touring with The Fourmost around the UK.
Alan – Drums and vocals.
Alan is the band's 'beat man' and second lead vocalist - another seasoned pro who has played with many top artistes over the years. He also had a spell playing at Mr Smiths in Manchester as session work for various local Manchester and Liverpool bands throughout his time.
The Kasuals are prepared to play in the UK and Europe for the right job. No gig is too far. If you want to go back in time to the golden era of pop, don’t hesitate to book The Kasuals.
